THE STORY
Simply Special is the creation of husband and wife team, Aasif Krishnan & Mitushi Tiwari. The couple met in Pune in 2003 while doing their MBA. After completing their degrees and living the corporate life in Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities in India for over 5 years, they decided to quit the rat race and move to Goa.
Goa had been their preferred vacation destination for several years. The quality of life, the natural and simpler lifestyle and the opportunity to mingle with people from across the world were the driving factors for them to permanently relocate to these idyllic shores.
Simply Special began as a 4-room guesthouse, and after the first season, the roof-top restaurant was opened.
The idea was to serve home-style food, with fresh ingredients and local produce while paying special attention to hygiene standards, while also creating a an amiable space for like-minded people to come together and also to provide a platform for artists through various events under the Salon Culturel umbrella.
