THE PLACE
Firefly is an amphitheatre styled family owned bistro bar situated a few steps from Benaulim beach, in South Goa. The name and the logo is inspired by one of the brands of their family business Cazulo, which incidentally means 'firefly' in Konkani.
Decked in warm tones of red and orange juxtaposed with a white undertone, Firefly has an inviting appeal amidst a circumference of bougainvillea bushes. Rows of tables and chairs in an arc face the sunken stage on one end of the premises. As a casual dining place, Firefly offers simple comfort food and beverages in a lively setting.
THE FOOD
Firefly strictly serves authentic Goan and Continental food. Guests may try the chicken liver pâté with toast and prawns tossed in butter and garlic from the Continental menu. Or go local and savour authentic Goan delicacies like Fish Ambotik, Vegetable Caldin, Prawn Curry Rice with accompaniments such as Kismur and Tambdi bhaji.
Poie with sausages and garlic, and barbecued pork are favourites here. Other specialties are the Rechado and Cafreal.
LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
Firefly lounge bar is best known for their unique concoctions, boasting the world's longest list of feni based cocktails, so revered by his guests that one of their favourites ‘Lugabi’, is named after two of his international guests - Lucas and Gabriela. A close second is ‘Rui’, a competition-winning cocktail which is a combination of Talisker 10 and orange infused Feni.
Firefly hosts karaoke and live music nights through the week all year long with Goa's best music talent. The venue is extremely popular with the local community in and around their neighbourhood.
