Located on Calangute's popular Holiday street, A Reverie is the place to see, be seen in and relish. Diners may enjoy an enchanting garden ambiance or the open-air lounge that sits under an impressive tiled roof. Bean Me Up (inspired by the legendary Star Trek line "Bean me up, Scotty") is Goa's one-stop-Soya-Station-shop. Here, almost everything on offer is prepared with soya, from the ice-cream to the lasagna. However, so much care has been taken with the recipes that even the most avid meat-lovers won't miss a thing! If tofu's not your thing, there are plenty of salads and juices on the menu as well. Blue Waves located on Morjim Beach, near Marbela Beach Resort, is a two-floor beach shack that serves the classic Goan shack menu comprising seafood, salads, Indian main courses, shakes and juices; however, is better known for the epic trance parties it hosts throughout the season. Their Christmas and New Year's parties are often the most popular this side of the bridge, while their mid-season marathon trance nights also draw quite a crowd.

Located right on the picturesque beach of Morjim is the chilled-out, Russian owned restaurant-lounge, Bora Bora. Open 24 hours, the beachfront lounge draws largely a Russian clientele, though it caters to travellers from across the globe. The menu is eclectic, the music is always on and always good (the owner is a DJ), and the beach in front is pristine. With services like a kindergarten for the kids and kite-surfing classes for adventurous adults, it is easy to see why Goa's Bora Bora is one of the area's most popular and most talked-about destinations.

Café de Goa is a bistro that offers a wide assortment of cakes, quiches, fresh salads, sandwiches, muffins, brownies and other confectionary. From lemon poppy seed muffins to creamy strawberry Swiss rolls, warm waffles heaped with fresh fruit and Café de Goa's signature salted caramel chocolate brownie, the food is most definitely a treat. German Bakery is a heath food cafe and bakery located in South Anjuna. "Hakuna Matata, it means "no worries...for the rest of your days" sings the popular song in Disney's "The Lion King", referring to the Swahali phrase "life without worry". Hakuna Matata's chilled out camp sits on the picturesque Morjim beach and since its opening in 2008, has proven to be quite popular, especially with the Russian tourists. Located near the Flea Market in Anjuna, La Vie en Rose is a charming little French café popular for its exquisite quiches & desserts. This sprawling market is located in Arpora and transpires every Saturday evening from 6pm until late night. The Mandala is an imaginative "back to the nature" resort set in a coconut grove on the banks of the Ashvem River. Tito's is a brand name in Goa known for its vast diversification into night clubs, tours and travels, financial services, resorts and a variety of other businesses. Established in 1971, Tito's is one of Goa's landmark venues. Set off the bustling Calangute beach, on a lane named after it (Tito's Lane), the property houses an elegant open-air restaurant (The Courtyard), a concert space and adjoining nightclubs. Across the lane, is the newer Mambo café.
Located in Panjim, A Ferradura has been serving authentic traditional Portuguese food since 1980. The convivial owner takes time to mingle with each of his guests and is always happy to fill anyone in on Portuguese culture and cuisine. A Ferradura is well regarded for its attentive service, varied menu, aesthetically presented dishes and, above all, its delicious food! Be sure to leave room for dessert; bebinca, the local favourite is on the menu!
Incepted in 1997 (and originally called After Eight), After Seven is an al fresco restaurant set in the restaurant's lawns, located somewhere between Calangute and Candolim. Watch your meals being prepared in the glass front kitchen. The menu offers an eclectic European menu serving fresh regional seafood, lamb-chops, pork chops, steaks and a decadent Camembert souffle, as well as an extensive wine menu.
A new addition to the Arambol dining scene is this laid-back Korean restaurant (located behind the busy main beach street) that opened in 2010, offering a delicious and authentic Korean menu. We loved the sushi rolls, kimchi and sweet potato salad. The prices here are hard to beat too, with a meal for two averaging at 800 rupees!
Aquatica resort offers simple, yet comfortable huts in a charming garden property offering views of the Ashvem hills and a swimming pool. Also on the resort property is the yoga studio Sushumna and The Om Made Cafe (by the owner of Le Poisson Rouge).
Ashiyana is a tropical retreat centre located between the unspoiled Mandrem Beach and the enchanting Mandrem River. The retreat is open during the season, from October 1st and April 15th, every year. Visitors may stay at the retreat's charming huts, visit on yoga holidays, and participate in yoga teacher training and massage training courses. Alternatively, outside guests are welcome to join in for yoga classes and workshops at the drop-in centre.
Biryani Palace, located just down the street from Anjuna's busy Starco junction, offers authentic Hyderbadi biryani (Indian meat-pilaf) and other North Indian favourites like Kebabs and Tandoori. The staff is friendly and eager to please. You may also order your food to take-away.
One of Anjuna's more popular restaurant that serves quality and authentic Italian food, with a handful of Indian, European and Russian plates to appease everyone. The ambiance is al fresco, and the decor is homely. The focus here is on healthy eating, where every dish is prepared with minimum fat, minimum calories and maximum health benefits. Bomra's, located on the Candolim-Fort Aguada road, is a restaurant for those who truly appreciate good food, receiving high praises such as "the best Burmese restaurant in the world!" Here, chef and owner, Bawmra Jap, has modernized and refined traditional Burmese dishes while also drawing influences of cuisines from its neighbors, China, Laos and Thailand.
Conceived and run by a native Londoner residing in Goa for over 15 years, this café and chocolatier offers some the most luscious sweets and nibbles this side of paradise, where everything is made fresh at home! For a true indulgence, try their high tea spread, replete with cosied teapots, freshly baked scones and homemade strawberry jam.
Founded in partnership with the owner of Goa's beloved Sublime restaurant,Cafe Nu is tucked away at the rear of an idyllic Mandrem village street. Originally conceived as only a lunch place, the café's popularity soon ensured that it catered to dinner patrons as well. The charming eatery serves an eclectic fusion fare similar to its sister restaurant (try the fish in sweet soy and their take on the mustard fish), and is reputed for serving one of the best steaks in Goa.

The Casa Portuguesa Restaurant is set in a charming elegant 18th century colonial house in Baga. The, interiors furnished in antique pieces, offers a cozy ambiance, while the verandah and garden offer equally enchanting dining experiences under the palms. The restaurant serves an authentic Portuguese menu, although some dishes have been influenced by the local Goan-Portuguese cuisine.
A good budget restaurant that always serves quality food with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is one of the few open through the monsoon months. We recommend their Wonton soup, and for the really famished ones, their whole grilled chicken! If Chinese food is not your thing, they also serve Indian & Continental.
Club Cirrus, brought to you by Goa's own model-turned- DJ, Ignatious Camilo (Iggy) and his business partner, Bharat Arora, is set in a verdant private property in Anjuna. The glass enclosed, completely soundproof, intimate nightclub makes for a prime alternative to the trance scene in Goa. The Cirrus garden also hosts regular day "kid's camp", barbeques and Goan thali lunches. Resident DJs are Raketa, Jewlung, chemical monkey, mister.k, and Iggy himself. Cockstown is an ubiquitous Arambol beach shack (by day), serving fresh seafood and chilled cocktails. On some evenings, however, this beach shack transforms into an outdoor beach-club. With resident (global) DJs playing techno and electro, the parties often last late into the night under the stars and the grove of coconut trees.
