Globally reputed for their exquisite original designs, The Cheshire Cat Gallery, in Assagao, offers a a truly unique jewellery shopping experience. The Cheshire Cat Gallery, housed in a beautiful restored Portuguese villa on a charming tree-lined avenue in the picturesque village of Assagao, is the creation of husband and wife design team, Kees van Andel and Karen Peace (VA&P).
Each season brings new sophisticated VA&P collections, designed in their studio at the rear of the gallery, and hand-crafted with the help of their team of master artisans. Van Andel & Peace also offer personal design consultations, by appointment. The Cheshire Cat Gallery additionally showcases a selection of other premier international jewellery designers, accessory lines by select international designers and features art exhibitions by guest artists as well as fashion.
Cheshire Cat Jewellery Gallery is open 7 days a week 10 am to 6.30 pm
Cheshire Cat is now closed for the season, and will re-open in July for customers by appointment only (July/August/ through to September 15th.)
From September 15th, it will be open monday to saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.

There is a variety of men and women’s clothing and a range of jewellery and accessories to choose from. The concept of the collection is creating innovative designs through the use of natural fabric and ethically sourced materials.

The brand of Gemma Carver offers two labels under the same designer, Nonchalant and GC by Gemma Carver. The first offers playful, stylish and summer designs, whilst the second concentrates on creating elegant dresses for weddings, special occasions and red carpet events. The team will ensure a personalized experience and design, following the specialised bespoke service. The label also does alterations.

Laurent Rochon is a 'contemporary art designer,’ and the architect of exquisite collections of furniture and objets d’art. A French national settled in Goa, Laurent operates out of his workshop in Assagao, where each Laurent Rochon piece is crafted meticulously by hand by skilled artisans. Laurent's peices are created of of wood, metal or recycled scrap, or a combination of all three elements, embodying his philosophy of perfection and authenticity of matter in the organic form. Laurent Rochon collections are currently exported to U.S. and France, and showcased in a premier trade fair in Milan, an art exhibit in Mumbai and a luxury boutique in New Delhi. In Goa, Laurent concentrates on interior design projects for private properties and new hotels. His clientele is both global and the urban Indian.

'Light of Creation' is a unique jewellery brand created, produced and sold in India. Born of a love story that began 6 years ago on the summer peaks of Dharamsala, 'Light of Creation' brings together its creators' reverence and deep understanding of semi precious stones and their original use of thin "threads" to offer singular pieces of jewellery that may not be found elsewhere. The "Light of Creation" boutique in Arambol, North Goa, features designs of their own brand and other interesting pieces.

Emeline Grasset and Iris Strill, both graduates of Art school in France, launched "Purple Jungle" in 2010, selling in flea markets and vendors across India, and opening boutiques in Delhi and Goa in 2011. Located on the Calangute main road, Purple Jungle offers a fun and colorful range of funky bags, pouches, cushions, and other kitsch home decorations. The collections are inspired by iconic imageries of everyday India, such as Indian truck, film posters, even the the neighborhood barber.

Located in central Anjuna, Samovar is an enchanting outdoor restaurant that specialises in Lebanese cuisine. It belongs to the charitable trust Samarpan Foundation, as do the clothing and accessory & jewellery shops that make up the property. Stepping off the busy Anjuna main road, the restaurant is set in a large garden, rich in character of elegance, colour and a contemporary edge.

The label is born out of its creator's vision to bring together the "past and the future to meet in the present", where inspiration and objects of the bygone ears are reinterpreted in the most visionary styles to render unique and contemporary pieces of jewellery, ideal for the modern-day woman.
